BSides Chisinau Community Principles

BSides Chisinau marks the beginning of a new local tradition, one built on global values. This is not just a conference. It is a gathering of curious minds, passionate professionals and future cyber defenders.

Whether you are a first-time participant, a student exploring new paths, a seasoned expert, or a quiet builder of digital resilience, your presence makes this event better. You belong here.

We ask everyone to help us shape a space where ideas can flow freely, respectfully and inclusively, true to the spirit of the global BSides community.

Core Values

  • Respect – for every individual, every perspective, and personal boundaries
  • Openness – to ideas, dialogue, questions and critique
  • Curiosity – we challenge assumptions, not people
  • Support – we celebrate each other's growth and contributions

We believe that diversity of thought makes our community stronger and our conversations deeper.

Expected Behavior

  • Act with courtesy, kindness, and professionalism at all times
  • Respect each other's boundaries, identities and communication preferences
  • Engage with an open mind, especially when challenged by unfamiliar ideas
  • Ask for consent before taking photos, recording, or publicly quoting individuals
  • Speak up if you see something inappropriate, silence enables harm

Creating a safe space is everyone's responsibility.
